A shocking double murder of Noida still remains a veiled murder mystery because of shoddy investigations and disinformation surrounding it.
This was none other than the much hyped and sensationalised double murder mystery of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade.
When the 14 year old's body was discovered by her parents on 16th May 2008, the missing servant Hemraj was considered as the main suspect. However, the next day, his decomposed body was discovered on the terrace. The blame then shifted to Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, parents of the 14 year old.
The UP police initially during the investigation made extremely insensitive and reprehensible remarks about Aarush and her parents' character, and a new incident was tailored up which was full of holes.
The issue of this case was that it was so hyped up and sensationalised by the media, that the actual facts were overlooked.The first CBI team's conclusion painted a completely different picture than one by the media.
However, the evidence obtained via narco analysis test couldn't be taken into consideration in the court and was therefore insufficient to convict anyone. The investigation was closed without conviction. The parents then filed a petiton to reopen the matter.
The second CBI investigation team alleged the parents for the double murder with completely different views and statements as compared to the first tema.
These series of situations eventually lead to the conviction of Rajesh and Nupur Talvar.
There are still different views and perspectives of this murder mystery some alleging the parents while others claiming them innocent.
