A Blast From The Past

My mother often tells me about her school days and I too like to hear about her past. She lived in a joint family, with many people around her, a girl pampered by all! and she is so happy to remember her bygone days.

Yesterday, just as she started narrating about her old friends, the phone rang. As she picked up the phone, she was so surprised that she was not able to speak properly. All of us were staring at her and wanted to know who was on the line. What can be said - was it something like telepathy or just a coincidence. Whatever it was, we all were extremely thrilled and excited as it was the same friend about whom she was telling a couple of minutes ago.

It was after 35 years that they were talking to each other, once again. It was like a celebration time as they were reunited. She could relive her childhood moments, those happy days which have become the memories of her distant past.

However, she is a bit saddened by the fact that she can't go back to her wonderful childhood.

We cannot get back the time once gone.
So let's make beautiful memories that we could cherish for ever.
